Garlic bread

Who can argue against garlic bread? know one, because it's a great addition to a meal, and when you make it from your own bread that you baked it makes it even more exiting. The simplicity of a garlic bread makes it a dish that can be made at the last second and you can make it taste as garlicky as you like. Before I started making my own garlic bread I had to resort to store bought because I thought it takes to long to make it at home, but now I know that it takes me longer to drive to the store than to make my own garlic bread.

I start off with a loaf of my pain au levain bread that I make in my wood fired oven, slice the bread in half through the middle and set aside.

1 stick of unsalted butter softened.
6 cloves of garlic chopped finely.
3 shoots of parsley chopped.

Preheat your oven on high broil. Combine the garlic, and parsley with the butter and mix together, spread the butter over the bread. Place in the oven on the top rack for about 2 minutes or until the edges become browned. Slice and enjoy with your favorite soup.
