Walnut stuffed dried plums (prunes)

Posted by Life is Awesome Here On 6:00 AM 2 comments

This is a great desert that takes 15 minutes to prepare and only has 4 ingredients that most kitchens have on hand. The serving size is about 3-4 people but if you fall in love with this as much as I did than I would change the servings to 2 people.

Ingredients.

1 Cup dried plums.
1/2 cup walnuts.
1 1/2 cup sour cream.
6 table spoons sugar.

Start by picking the best and the largest dried plums (prunes), it will be easier to work with and you will have more flavor, your dried plums will have an opening in them where the pit was removed, take a tea spoon and using the handle open up the opening, now place a 1/4 of a walnut inside so it will be fully covered by the dried plum, arrange in a shallow small dish. Mix the sugar and the sour cream together until the sugar dissolves, take a spoon and glaze your dried plums with the sour cream. You can sprinkle some crushed walnuts over them as decoration, serve as a desert. If you are a fan of vanilla you can add few drops of vanilla to the sour cream but don't over power the flavor of dried plums and walnuts. Serve at any event and I guarantee you that every one will love this, I never have any left overs when I make them, it is one of the best ways to enjoy a dried plum.
