water kefir at home, most people who make water kefir for consuming it usually make small quantity's, with me I make 3-5 gallons buckets of water kefir that's 13.5 gallons, you might wander what the heck do I need so much water kefir? I guess we just drink allot of it. Anyways here is how I make my water kefir, the instruction here are for one 5 gallon bucket which uses 4.5 gallons of water.
What you will need.
9-Cups of water kefir grains
6-Cups of raisins
3-Cups of raw sugar
4 1/2 gallons of water
water kefir. After you mix all your ingredients let the kefir sit in a room for about 48 hours, after that remove your kefir grains, raisins and bottle your kefir in beer bottles, let the bottled kefir brew for anther 12 hours. After the second fermentation immediately put your glass bottles in the fridge to prevent the bottles from blowing up. Trust me they will blow up it has happen to my cousin, he left a bottle in his garage and about 4 days later the bottle blew the bottom off.
After cooling you can just open and enjoy the drink and all the probiotics that are in it.
