Oregon's fight agains BPA

Some states already have proclaimed BPA as unsafe and put a stop to the sales of baby items that contain BPA in it, and Oregon is joining their rank. Currently there are two different bills in the legislation that is focused on the safety of children, and it will be illegal to sell or distribute knowingly children product that contain BPA in it. It is a right step in the correct direction, Oregonians should not have chemicals in there air or there body. Even though the federal government has not done much it is a relieve to know that states are taking initiative and stepping in for our safety.

BPA was developed as a synthetic sex hormone but is now used in common household materials, including some clear, rigid plastic water bottles, baby bottles, reusable food containers, and food cans. It is one of the highest-volume chemicals produced in the world.
